Cleartrip to launch intl booking engine by July

Chetan Kapoor - Mumbai

Mumbai-based OTA Cleartrip.com is set to roll out its much-awaited international booking engine come July when it will complete two years of operations, reveal market sources. However, when contacted by Express TravelWorld, Stuart Crighton, its COO, refused to confirm its launch period but said, "We will soon roll out a suite of new products. There will be a vast acceleration in our products which the customers will find useful and we will be scaling up the business stage."

It is also said that the portal has been doing extensive research on traveller preferences booking international travel online, thereby taking time in going online with its international engine and related range of products.

PLUS ties up with Cleartrip
Star India's Mobile Entertainment division has partnered with Cleartrip for its mobile service - PLUS. With this, PLUS users will get real-time access to travel-related information on their mobile devices. They will be able to access travel information, make air travel reservations at best rates and deals available and much more with a single touch of their mobile phones.

With this tie-up, PLUS users are provided with a host of options to select from to plan their travel. Cleartrip will help PLUS users to optimise their search results by giving out the best fares available on selected routes on selected dates.
