After the launch of a coffee table book in association with Kuoni Holidays in 2007, the Italian state Tourist Board (ENIT) has now launched a 24-page MICE catalogue along with it that will showcase the potential of Italy for corporate travellers.

Speaking to Express TravelWorld, Salvatore Ianiello, its India representative, revealed, "While our priority is mainly the FIT market, we are also targeting the MICE market from India. There has been a 40 per cent growth recorded in the issuance of visas to Italy in the past one year."

Sunil Gupta, COO of Kuoni Holidays and SOTC, said, "Being a specialist in MICE Tours, this SOTC Corporate Tours MICE Brochure is in line with our mission of offering exclusive and innovative MICE products. SOTC has a team of over 125 professionals across India who specialise exclusively in MICE."

In addition ENIT has also planned a change in the format of Festa Italiana to be held from November 5-9 this year. Says Ianiello, "The event will open with an exhibition called Italy Expo, a B2B and B2C promotion of Italian fashion, art, gastronomy, automobiles and tourism."

ENIT also plans to organise Campus ENIT - a three-day B2B training programme for the trade later this year and is keen on working with Bollywood as well.
