Egypt's Mahmoud to leave India soon

Chetan Kapoor - Mumbai

Samy Mahmoud, tourism counsellor, Egyptian Consulate Tourism Office is en route to Cairo as his tenure in India nears conclusion. Speaking to Express TravelWorld, he says, "My tenure here expired six months ago and was extended twice for three months each. I will be leaving for Cairo soon but I do not know when." According to him, decisions for the Indian market will be taken directly from the Cairo office. Of his future endeavours, he says, "It is for the government to decide. I may be made responsible for handling all international offices (17) from the present five that I currently handle."
