TravelOrg launches 24X7 walk-in travel shop

Andrea Lopez - Mumbai

Venkatesh K

CEO, TravelOrg

Travel service provider, TravelOrg, that specialises in sports, medical, spiritual and adventure tourism and with an arm in the serviced apartment category, has announced the launch of its 24x7 walk-in travel shop.

The brick-and-mortar office will cater to walk-in clients at any time of the day and will be available for hotel bookings, car rentals, airline and bus bookings and serviced apartments. Clients will also be able to receive information on any of these services from a toll-free number. Says Venkatesh K, its CEO, "Travellers who are stuck anywhere at any point of time will be able to walk into the store and buy an airline ticket or make a hotel reservation," adding that this will come as an advantage to stranded travellers.

The company's medical tourism division had launched a wellness card in October 2007 called 'Signature Health' for NRIs and foreign tourists. The card, priced at US$ 250, permits clients to avail of medical treatments, complete health check-ups and other benefits. TravelOrg plans to work with IndiaTourism in a bid to promote medical tourism in the country. It now plans to tie up with Cinemax theatres in Mumbai for branding.
