Traditional Kerala food fest at Hotel Ruby Arena

Hotel Ruby Arena, near Medical College Thiruvanathapuram just concluded the Nadan Bhakshya Mela 08, a food fest featuring traditional Kerala dishes. Speaking to Express TravelWorld, Unnikrishnan, general manager, Hotel Ruby Arena said, "The festival was a grand success with both the guests of the hotel as well as walk in customers. We had conducted a Maldives food festival about a month back, which also got us great response and encouraged us to do a Kerala food festival. We have many such activities and festivals lined up in the coming months". The spread included some delicious cuisine from grandma's kitchen and it ought to enthuse many gourmets out there. The menu included some mouth watering delicacies from Kerala including neychore, kothuporotta, chakka puzhukku, appam etc in the vegetarian section to crab curry, duck curry, mutton ularthiyathu, karimeen mappas, kakka thoran etc in the non vegetarian section. The organisers also had a cookery competition for ladies on all days of the fest.
