Spain tourism to conduct roadshows in March
Spain Tourist Office has announced its plans to conduct a
four-city roadshow in the month of March 2006 - Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata and
New Delhi. The event will be held from March 27 to April 3, 2006. The one in
Mumbai will be held on 27 March followed by Bangalore on March 29, Kolkata on
March 31 and concluding in New Delhi on April 3, 2006. Enrique Ruiz de Lera,
Tourism Counsellor of the Embassy of Spain and director of Spain Tourist Office
(SE Asia, India, Australia and NZ) who is based in Singapore said that Spain
plans to have regular interactions with the Indian market.
Qatar Tourism authority allies with PATA
Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) has joined PATA as an Allied
Destination Partner, a non-voting category of membership for destinations outside
the PATA region. Launched in 2000, QTA's role is to organise, enable, and supervise
tourism industry development in Qatar, represent and promote Qatar as a quality
tourism destination at international travel fairs, generate meetings and incentives,
and co-ordinate tourism infrastructure development.
SA Tourism woos frontline executives
South African Tourism and Gulf Air have jointly launched an innovative promotional
campaign for frontline executives in travel agencies across the country. This
joint venture that targets over 15,000 executives across India will be launched
from 25 February onwards and targets frontline executives through Gulf Air offices.
The contest will be open till 20 March.
