ETW Staff - Mumbai
Setting sights on capturing a fair share of the growing outbound and inbound
corporate travel market in India, the Ramee Group predominantly known for its
hotels in India and Middle East, has set up a corporate travel company, Ramee
Tours and Travels to cater to growing corporate business between India and the
Middle East.
Revealing this new development exclusively to Express
TravelWorld, Sudhanshu Singh, group general manager, Ramee Group of Hotels,
said, "Hospitality has been our initial and key focus in the Indian market
since our foray into the country. However, with the travel industry growing
phenomenally in India over the past couple of years, there exists ample opportunity
for companies looking at establishing themselves as a travel company."
"Business travellers account for 80 per cent of customers in our hotel
business, the diversification from hotels to a travel company focussing on corporate
travel is an extension to the hospitality service we already offer," expressed
Singh. The group is riding on the growth of corporate travel market between
India and Middle Eastern countries of Dubai, Baharain, Oman and Qatar, which
incidentally is experiencing a unique growth rate of 20 per cent annually. "With
a network of 25 hotels, which primarily caters to business travellers, we are
confident that this venture will be successful and offer our customers a truly
unique travel service, stated Singh."
