Misty Woods: Nature's lovely spot for a nostalgic stopover

'Woods are lovely dark and green' sang the poet, but here in Coorg, woods are draped in a veil of mist all year round that enhances the natural beauty of the place. Maybe there are many means to enjoy the beauty, but the genuine one is to stay in the golden cottages of Misty Woods, the tourist's haven where the nature is truly natural, serene, calm and with full of charm that flows or stands as desired by itself. But here don't expect any sophisticated gadgets of modern conveniences, as even without them life is full and complete. It is situated on an estate sprawling around 100 acres, where abodes a beautiful private waterfall.

The golden cottages of Misty Woods are a tourist's haven where the nature is truly natural, serene, calm and with full of charm that flows or stands as desired by itself

Coorg, in Karnataka is about 100 kms away from Kannur and 125 kms from Wayanad in Kerala. The uniqueness of Coorg lies in many things, for its charm primarily is owing to its most captivating folks, an Anglo native stock. Stroll around the jungle, and you'll come across hectares of green coffee plantations and orange gardens where juicy oranges hang amidst green foliage. Here, the singing brooks take you up to the soul of beauty, where slices of heaven are reflected in sapphire blue lagoons. The undulating paddy fields beneath thick greenery will surely enrich your vision, as the thick trees closely shield everything. On the way, there are chic stopover restaurants where fresh farm food is served. Coorg is on a height of 3,800 feet from the sea level. The sight of the morning mist scrolling down through the green belt is amazing. Yes you can experience it directly.

In Misty Woods you can see the highest peak in Coorg, Thadiyante Mol. You can enjoy the thrilling experience of trekking to the mountain peak or you can tour around the plantation to get acquainted with spices. Here, the cottages are created without disturbing Mother Nature. Only clay hollow bricks and wood are used. In Coorg you will be pulled together more strongly as an intimate family. You will certainly feel your children or your spouse are more beloved than what they are in the busy hall of your city with a hectic schedule. Little wonder, when you set off on your journey back home you will say I go back to come back. Sure.
