Ministry Identifies Beaches To Boost Tourism

In a bid to develop eco-tourism destinations, the Ministry of Tourism has identified beaches and eco-tourism projects for development by 2006. More than Rs 278 crores have been sanctioned for these projects.

The Ministry has reportedly taken care to protect the environment in and around the beaches and eco-tourism guidelines have been circulated to states and the tourism industry.
