Orissa Tourism To Promote Its 'Golden Triangle'
The Tourism Department of Orissa plans to promote the 'Golden Triangle' to the tour operators, apart from projecting the important tourist locations in the State. Bhubaneswar, Puri and Konark are the three corners of Orissa's 'Golden Triangle', which also represent three faces of the State's identity, people, faith and worship.

Puri Beach Festival To Showcase The Vividness Of Orissa
The rich history of art, craft, culture and cuisine of Orissa will be showcased at the annual Puri Beach Festival to be held on the beautiful beach at Puri from November 23-27, 2005. Puri is the abode of Lord Jagannath and considered one of the most important Hindu pilgrimage sites. Lakh of pilgrims from different parts of the country visit the place to take the traditional purification dip.

On Buddha's Trail
Orissa has kept alive Buddhism and the Buddha in its ancient womb. The spirit of Buddhism still haunts the very air of Orissa. Rock-edicts that have challenged time, stand huge and over-powering by the banks of River Daya.

The 482-km long shoreline of Orissa offers some of the finest white sand beaches in the world. Virginal and unspoilt, it is not surprising that they are becoming a regular haunt for avid beachcombers and sea-worshippers.
