Le Meridien Cochin Increases Its Inventory To 223

Adding to the present inventory of 151 rooms and suites, Le Meridien Cochin inaugurated the Le Meridien Cochin Towers, which is located across the backwaters from the main block and is surrounded by lush green coconut groves. With addition of this new wing, Le Meridien Cochin becomes the largest inventory in Kerala and is picturesque with the backwaters running through the hotel.

The Le Meridien Cochin Tower houses 10 floors of luxurious accommodation with 72 spacious rooms and suites. The rooms, which are meticulously designed, offers spectacular view of serene backwaters, coconut groves and the city sights can be admired from large glass windows and balconies. The living room is decorated aesthetically with contemporary art, while the well-appointed master bedrooms offer state-of-the-art conveniences. Suites are equipped with electronic safe, tea/coffee maker, facsimile (on request), mini bar, WIFI, hair-dryer, rain shower, satellite LCD interactive compatible television and individually controlled air-conditioning. Non-smoking/handicapped suites are also available on request.

Additional facilities include 24-hour room service, 24-hour coffee shop overlooking the backwaters and luxurious gardens, housekeeping with laundry, business & travel center, conference rooms, reception and private boat jetty. Connectivity to the Tower Block is a scenic 2-minute boat ride or a short drive by road.

The new tower wing addresses the increasing need for quality hospitality in Cochin at a time when the city is emerging as a major conference and leisure destination. Aptly termed 'Gods own country', Kerala today heads the global list of must-see destinations. The economic boom and upswing development of Kerala has also resulted in an increase in corporate travel to Cochin. Wellness tourism is going great guns with both Yoga and Ayurveda being well accepted globally. The beauty of the locale, the high international standards of service amongst pristine beauty, the complete feeling of rejuvenation provides good enough reason for a guest to return time and again to the Le Meridien Cochin.
