Deccan Aims To Connect Close To 70 Sectors By 2009
Air Deccan completed two years of operations on August 27,
2005. In this period, the airline connected new destinations,
brought down airfare, innovated distribution by launching
e-tickets and selling tickets at HPCL pumps and Reliance Web
World outlets. Captain G R Gopinath, managing director, Air
Deccan, in conversation with Indrani Rajkhowa speaks about
the airlines success story, its future plans and programmes.

Aiming To Operate Pant Nagar Airport By End of 2005
In a bid to augment tourism and increase air connectivity,
Uttaranchal government has been actively pursuing upgradation
work at their two airports at Dehra Dun and Pant Nagar. Dehra
Dun, which at present is the only funcitonal airport is upgraded
to to match international standards and to make it conducive
enough to receive larger aircrafts such as boeing, airbus
aircrafts.

Asia Takes Off On Its Maiden Flight From Kolkata
Jetstar Asias inaugural flight took off from Kolkata
recently, marking a new chapter in Indian aviation as Singapores
first value-for-money airline to establish links with India.
The Airlines operating a Airbus A320 has flights thrice a
week (Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday) between Singapore and
Kolkata.
