Delhi Express Launches Travel Portal

Neeti Chopra - New Delhi

Delhi Express Travels Group, specialising in tailor-made packages, has recently launched a B2B and B2C website www.xpressholidays.org investing approximately Rs 20 lakh in its development.

Vikas Singal, CEO of the travel group, said that the main aim of developing this site was to enter the rural markets that have Internet access. "Although there are travel agents in these areas, our reach was limited to places where our offices are located. With the introduction of this site, we are expecting at least 45 to 50 per cent increase in our business within next two years," Singal said.

Apart from this, the group is also planning to set up four more offices in Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Surat and Pune. "We had already established our presence in Ludhiana, Lucknow and Kanpur in the last six months and recorded a 38 per cent growth in our turnover. Our target for this year is to achieve a growth of 28 per cent," Singal added.

The company is currently focusing on destinations like Morocco, America, Tahiti and Canada and has recently included Fiji in its portfolio.
