Canadian High Commission Ties Up With VFS
The Canadian High Commission has tied up with VFS Private Ltd to operate nine new visa application centers, which have been opened in Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Ahmedabad, New Delhi, Jalandhar, Chandigarh and Mumbai. The initiative will enable applicants for temporary visas such as visitors, students and workers, to submit visa applications across the counter at these nine application centres.

It is surprising but true that United Kingdom gets more than 200,000 visitors from India while only 8,000 visas have been issued by the Ireland embassy in 2004. In an effort to woo the travellers visiting London, Ireland Tourism has tied up with Visa Facilitation Service (VFS) to outsource visa processing.

NZTB Plans to Consolidate Position In Indian Market
The recently concluded three-city road show by the New Zealand Tourism Board (NZTB) saw the board chalk out strategic plans for the Indian market. The Kiwilink programme which made its debut in Delhi and Chennai while completing its third year in Mumbai, witnessed the participation from 13 New Zealand sellers and the Fiji Visitor Bureau.
