Taj To Tread On Gwalior And Kovalam Turf
As part of the growth plan for its Leisure Division, The Indian Hotels Company Ltd will make its foray into the spectacular fort city of Gwalior and the beach town of Kovalam this year. The Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces is opening Usha Kiran Palace in Gwalior in the third week of October and Green Cove Resort & Spa in Kovalam, Kerala in December 2004.

Marriott Launches New Travel Agents Website
Marriott International recently unveiled a newly designed travel agent web site that offers its Preferred Travel Agencies (PTA) commission direct deposit, 24-hour online commission statement access and research capabilities.

Tourism Minister To Support Infrastructure Status For Hospitality
The Indian hotel industry so far has been fighting its own battle with the union and state governments respectively for infrastructure status and tax rationalisation. But now, it has the union minister of tourism supporting the cause.
