Travel House To Introduce Online eTicketing

Travel House, an ISO 9001 travel company, is introducing electronic ticketing powered by Amadeus Systems through its website www.travelhouseindia.com

The date set for Travel House and Amadeus for reaching this ‘Ticketing Platform’ is September 30, 2003. The Travel House website, will form linkages with the Amadeus system, ensuring the system is in place to receive customer log-ins from September 30.

The procedure for Electronic Ticketing is as follows:

  1. The customer approaches an agent who is linked to an itinerary printer as well as a paper ticket printer.
  2. The agent creates a booking file.
  3. He quotes the fare.
  4. He updates the fare with ticket modifiers
  5. Gives the Ticket Print command
  6. On issuance of an electronic ticket a passenger receipt is generated, which is currently required for entry into an Indian airport in place of a paper ticket.

With new age solutions driving its systems, Travel House promises to create value additions for all round improvement in all the different services offered through its one stop shop’ concept. The company has a network of 33 offices spread all over India, specialising in the business of inbound and outbound tours, domestic tours, business travel, luxury coach tours, car rentals, conferences and event management and money changing.
